Hi all,

I have linked a table which is located in Oracle 8.1.7. I realized its not an oracle forum, but I think someone might have experiance this problem one time or another.

Well the problem is I linked the table though the access gateway. When I try to select the column to change a value I'm getting the 'This recordset is not updateable' messauge.

Can someone found similar problem? If so how can I fix it.

Thanks

Does your Oracle table have a primary key defined?

Which driver are you using? Oracle or ODBC?

Th id field has NO pk key. However it doesn't accept nulls. The odbc driver i'm using is Oracle ODBC Driver 8.1.7.0

I think you will have to have a PK defined in order to update the linked table via ODBC...

Can you create one and see if that changes your symptoms....
