Has anyone ever seen an Outlook client take a long time to update a Calendar event like accepting or declining a meeting request?

I've got all Outlook 2000 users here. The events do get processed correctly, but the client seems to hang while it's working.

My WINS and DNS services are all running correctly for the servers and clients.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I have been running into this problem lately so I thought I'd post what I've tried.

This problem seems to be more prevalent with people who have large calendars (over 4mb in size) and with people who have lots of history on their calendars (going back several years). I have found that archiving their calendars seems to speed things up a bit. I'm sure that there are better ways to fix this problem but I haven't found any yet.
