Hola,

I got the following problem with one of my PC's:

I can visit the Microsoft update site, and scan the PC for Updates to be downloaded... it will then suggest the hotfixes/updates to be downloaded, and I can download them without any problem...

when it goes to install them, it will start but quits shortly there after with no error message (not even in the event viewer) and just mentions that Update x, y, & z was not installed...

now I can Download them manually and they install just fine...

at first I thought it was a quirk with IE7, but I uninstalled it and still same problem under IE6... reinstalled IE7 and no change...

so someone please enlighten me to where the problem may be located at?

Does "Windowsupdate.log" in %Windir% (typically c:\windows) indicate any specific problems?

Sorry that it took me so long to respond...

@Glenn9999 - nope it did not... it just indicated that it had a problem but not where it was...

@Freestone - thnx, the first link did the trick... a star, cuz I had missed that KB artikle...

I knew you'd get back to us eventually, Ben, you are good at doing that. I'm glad the KB article worked for you.

Merry Christmas.
