I was able to boot up with 'last known good config', but if I reboot again...the system will not boot 'normally'. The last thing I did before this probelm started was to accept windows updates, and reboot. Any thoughts?

uninstall the last updates and try again? see if that's indeed the problem

OK...removed Security Update KB925486, and all is well again. I've heard some of these can cause issue...any thoughts as to why? Don't do updates? Thanks again NetIntruder!!!

For this particular update did you apply the workaround “Modify the Access Control List on Vgx.dll to be more restrictive” before the update came out? If so you need to revert the update before you install the update otherwise you could run into problems.

Cheers.

Hmmm...spoke to soon. I had to reboot just now due to application issue...and system would not reboot normally. I had to use "Last Known Good Config".

Any advise...? Help!
