Hi,
i've been searching around the messageboards, and i can't seem to find a problem like mine. it seems simple enough, but i havent done access for a while. I work at a respiratory services company, and our clients are assigned a certain region ID. when the user wants to transfer a client to a new region, i made a form pop up asking for the old region, the new region, and the transfer date.
how would i go about replacing the old region in the client table (which i have entered automatically, by referencing the previous form) with the new one entered?
i also need to create a sort of "transfer history" table which would include the data from the popup form, so that we can do back-dated reports. for example, we may wanna do a report for july 2001 for a certain region, which would include all clients in the region, but also clients who were in that region at that time, but have since transferred. so my question is how would i be able to make new records in a Transfer History table, based on the data entered in the popup form?
sorry this is so long winded, but i think i just need a kick-start to get me going. -Matt
