Update Linked FoxPro Tables in Access 2K

Spent the whole afternoon searching Google groups for this one.

Is anyone having success inserting/updating VFP free-table linked DBFs? If so, how in the world are you doing it?

Access2K on WindowsXP with the latest VFPODBC.dll. Primary key is fully populated and unique. The simplest insert statement, with a valid "new" primary key value, throws an error "1 records were not inserted due to a key violation". Excuse me?

TIA for your time and war stories. Believe me, I read around 150 of 'em today.

For the record, here's what I found:

The old ISAM driver didn't give a hoot about null field settings in free tables. The ODBC driver does; therefore, you have to specify a non-NULL value for every field defined as such.

Hope this helps someone avoid the marathon I went through...
