You can disable ite message notification.
Go to the printer server then in the printers tab go to print server properties then in advance there in one option called notify when remote documents are printed. just untick that option . Reboot the server then you will not get that popup message again.
Thanks Aslamvs. I'm sorry to say that your suggestion was not successful. I could not find the feature you mentioned in the server printer properties (I use NT4 Server).
I found a fix by shutting down the Win2000 workstation Alerter service and this put a stop to the unwanted printer messages.
To disable Print Job Completion and Notification on a Windows NT server. Click on the Start button on the task bar and select Setttings, Printers to display the printers folder. Then select File and Server Properties. This should display a "Print Server Properties" window which has four tabs, the last one being "Advanced". Select the Advanced tab and ensure that the checkbox labelled "Notify when remote documents are printed" is NOT checked. Then click on the OK button and close the printers window.
Unfortunately you will need to reboot the server to apply the change.
