Another hardware question for CS1000M MG FNF rls 4.5.

Every one of my network modules has a Conf/TDS card in one of the superloop slots. This eats up 25% of my available superloops. Do I really need one card per network module or do I just need one per network group? Or, do I just need "enough resources" in the system as a whole?

Thanks again
Rob

Loop constraintsThe maximum number of loops in a network group is 32, including service loops. For practical applications, the number of traffic loops is usually limited to 28, reserving two loops each for TDS and Conference.

. •Succession 1000M Multi Group or Meridian 1 Option 81C CP PII – the NT4N41 Core/Network modules and the NT4D46 Core/Network modules each have eight card slots for Network and I/O cards. It is assumed that one NT8D17 Conference/TDS card is equipped for each Core/Network module. Without considering applications, the 14 card slots can support 28 traffic loops. Additional groups are added for expansion. This configuration consists of a minimum of two groups that contains 28 card slots and can support 56 traffic loops.

excellent, that is just what I was looking for.....I couldn't find this in the NTPs.....can you tell me what the NTP# is that you got this excerpt from so I can read a little more?

Thanks again

As you probably already know, good thing about the con/tds card, still an avaible slot right of it to prevent further waste for dual pri card, msdl, allowing you to retain your multiple of 4 superloop slots. So at least the whole spl slot is usable for more than just con/tds card.

another hint.. after you remove one, make a change in your cfn and do and ini.. that will kill the 6K errors it causes.. 1st time i did that we got so many errors it ini'ed.. but without a config change the files check sum passed and the error did not go away.. i bumpped a buffer by 1 k.. then the ini cleared the errors... and i agree you've got way to many built
