Please help me !

I reinstalled XP home in HP Pavilion 522n but found problems with drivers. Then I searched all the drivers in question(graphics, sound and sm bus) and finally got no yellow question mark in device manager. But he problem is in dvd rom because i cannot play a dvd it says "unsupported format error" i can see it in the computer but cannot use it even by using cd rom...i don't know please any help will be appreciated.

Could it be that you're trying to read a DVD that your DVD-ROM doesn't recognize? Many DVD-ROM drives will only recognize DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW. Will other DVDs work in the drive?

Thanks but why is it not recognizing any cd rom...?

So it recognized the Windows XP CD long enough to reinstall XP and now it won't read any CDs at all? Can you boot up the machine from CD?
