Hi all... an odd problem!

I have just installed Windows XP on my works computer & I am having problems connecting to SQL 2000 running on our server.

If I log out of XP & then back on (logging on to the Domain, that is) then for a while I have a connection to SQL (either through my VB program, or via enterprise manager). After a short while, I lose the connection & get the error message -

'Cannot generate SSPI context'.

Logging off & back on again sorts out the problem temporarily. Any bright ideas?

Thanks in anticipation,

Phil.

Have you installed SP2 for SQL 2000? It solved a bunch of misc. connection problems for me.

Thanks, but yes, still had problem after that. I actually tried changing the name of the workstation - I remember that cured a similar problem in the past. It hasn't had the problem since, but I've only used it for about 20minutes, so I won't know until I spend a full day on it tomorrow!
