Attempted to log in apparently incorrectly. Now it bypasses the pass? prompt. How can I unlock this or must I wait for the time limit to be up.

Thanks

Need to wait or try another tty port or a different password.

If you can log in with a maint set, you can disable and re-enable the TTY port. That should clear you up.....or wait it out.

you need the level 2 password for dont wait the unlock time.

all the above post are correct, the unlock is set in software, either a ini or a time between .5 and 24 hours. i always try to have access to more then one tty. the dis tty enl tty command will work IF that option is allowed to reset the password count.. just wait until a enter does not give the ovl400 prompt. you can't miss the password 3 times

Just for the record, Nortel's latest 4.5 release has to have Named Login & the default "locked" has now been increased to 60 Minutes from 20.
Even if you get the OVL400 message after entering the wrong passcode, you still can't overide the access via the PWD2 password!.
Don't bother looking in "pdt" as it's all changed.

does it lock all passwords or just that term? and can it be set to rls ovl400 on an ini?

Hi John It's good to hear from you. You should still be able to get in providing to alter the setting for it. I can send you some of my findings on it as I have access to a Opt 81c cp4 (04.50k) & also a Opt11c type (04.50q). There is much more that I can tell you on it, that I can't on any forums.

I only came up with that Login, because I could not use my other one that I have for a couple of the other Meridian forums. Thanks for the info on the BSA.
You should be able to work out my contact address from it.
