Hola,

Ok, a friend of mine has this problem with the following progie "MSDVIEW32.EXE"...

after doing some research, google only comes up with two sites, both are ADULT related (and no mention of the progie within these sites!!!)... have searched spyware/malware/trojan/virus databases and turned up nothing...

has anyone come across this progie or have information pertaining to it?

Ben

Interesting - I get the same search results. You sure someone didn't sign up for something not realizing what it was?

Hi there,

@XEMUS - the progie tries intermittently trying to access the Internet (Firewall keeps blocking it, thanks to that...)... and yes he tends to surf the NET looking at bigboobs and such... I had updated WinXP with all available HotFixes and Firewall, AntiVirus, Anti-Spyware like SpyBot, Ad-Aware and A2Free, even updated Office XP to SP3, also he is using Firefox 0.9.2 now since I told him that it's better and safer than IE or any of the many Provider Browsers that build upon it...

@bfralia - that is what I thought myself...

... the problem doesn't exist anymore, did a telephone fix for him, telling him to rename the file (so that when I get at his computer can take a look at the file physically), told him to take it out of his AUTO-STARTS (by using a progie called HD CLEAN, which I had installed beforehand) and to do a powerdown, wait a few minutes, then reboot the system (just in case it did a residence fix in Memory)...

but this still doesn't tell me what the progie is or where it came from...

Thanx for the Info...

Ben
