I have a process that I see running in the Task Manager
Window everytime that I startup my PC. The process is
called

winJZALEBI.exe

It likes to intermittently hog my CPU. Every so often it
will occupy 99% of my CPU capacity. I have no idea what
this is. The executable file resides in the root of the
C:\ drive. When I end the process the system seems to run
fine (although I have not tried to run every application
on my system). I was contemplating deleting the file, but
I don't know if it would be safe to do so...

I searched for it in the registry and found it in the following 3 keys:

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1275210071-1677128483-1060284298-500\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Explorer Bars\{C4EE31F3-4768-11D2-BE5C-00A0C9A83DA1}\FilesNamedMRU

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Explorer Bars\{C4EE31F3-4768-11D2-BE5C-00A0C9A83DA1}\FilesNamedMRU

I am not too computer savy yet, so I don't know if I have given enough info to help solve the problem.

Does anybody have any idea what this is? I cannot find
any info about it on the Net. I would truely appreciate
any help...TIA

Go to start > Run > Type: msconfig

Go to the startup tab and look for a reference in the list. If you see the file, untick it, appy the settings and hit 'ok'. When you reboot a message will pop up stating that you have changed the way your system starts. Tick the box that says 'don't show me this message again' and hit okay. It should be working okay now.

Before you do that, have a look in the Windows Start Menu under Programs> StartUp. If there is a link to the file, you can delete it (right-click then delete it). This will also stop it starting up. If there is no link, then do it the way I have mentioned above.

I suggest u downlaod spybot serach and destroy and running it, this looks as though its either a new virus or spyware?

I already ran Spybot, and it did not note the file as any type of spyware. I downloaded the msconfig program (since I am running Windows 2000 which does not come with msconfig), and disabled the program in the from the Startup tab. My system seems to be working much better now.

Thanks for the help guys...[2thumbsup]
