unknown modem

i got this amr modem from a friend,but xp only detects it as a pci "simple communications controller".its got no fcc id,and the only chip i can see has the name meisei on

PLEASE help

its unknown to me too. i don't know why its saying "pci device" either being that its an amr slot "Jack of all trades. Master of none."

thanks interNETech i think im gonna scrap the piece of @#$% and get a more reliable modem.
