Voicemail messages have to be in the users Inbox on our exchange server in order for them to listen to their messages from the phone, but some of our users have all of their mail delivered to personal folders on their local machine. When this happens they are unable to retrieve messages from the phone. Our current solution is to change delivery of messages back to the server then use rules to forward everything except messages categorized as voicemail. Has anyone found a better way?

Thank you for your time,

There is no other way. It has to be in the main inbpx folder. I guess you could always make a rule to move the cisco messages back to the main inbox.

It is what it is!!

We used to have this problem with notebook users who used PST files to have offline access to their mail due to the fact that Outlook OST files where not very reliable. Upgrading to Outlook 2003 and using 'cached mode' and leaving delivery to the exchange mailbox solved both the VM light and playback problem and the offline reliability problem.
