Sorry are you running on a Mac or PC?
If it is a PC you should be able to go to Control Panels\Add and Remove Programs and then select Acrobat 5.
The mac you will need to delete the Folder with Acrobat 5 in. Reboot and rebuild the desktop. (Command + Alt) If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.
