I installed IIS 5 on my XP system to start working with dynamic website creation. Basically it did well, but since I last turned on my machine, I can´t start the Management Console to administrate the IIS funktions. So I tried to uninstall the IIS --> system inactivity -->reboot necessary. I tried to re-install IIS --> system inactivity -->reboot necessary. I tried to repair the System with my XP CD -->no change, same occurances of the problem.
So, what can I do?
I tried to install apache W32-server --> system inactivity. So I realized that I can´t start the IIS-tab in the MMC, all other tabs like local security... are working.
Is there a chance to uninstall IIS 5 manually or is it in this case compulsory to delete my HD and completely reinstall my System? - Thanx for your help, Marcus

Have you tried to "Add/Remove Programs" "Add/Remove Windows Components" to remove IIS?

Have you tried:

Start-->Run-->sfc ====================================
