Put my default config on the voicemail Pro server, and as soon as I saved and made live, got Unhandled Exception error.

Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF(E_UNEXPECTED))

Is there any way to fix this? I had uninstalled twice, to no avail.

Before the third install, I did go through the registry and removed anything VM Pro.

Could someone wave their magic wand?

Is that default config build on a 6.0 vmpro ?

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

It was an r5 default. Then I upgraded that istall to R6, then exported the Database and used that.

Wrong way?

Good point Peter, also if any of this was done using remote Desktop that would also explain it, as that will corrupt the database entirely unless you have a backup copy it will need rebuilding :)

Is upgrading the R5 voicemail pro (my in house test box) to R6, then exporting the DB alright to put on other R6 install?

On VMP when you launch it in the upper left corner does it have the IP address of the IP Office? If it shows 0.0.0.0 this is your issue.

To clarify it should say IP Office (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) just below the Disk and save & make live icons.

If it is not connected like Kyle says you have a problem.
Try to save and you will get an error.
You need to be connected to an ipoffice to do that.
Also a R5 database needsan upgrade to R6.
There is a big change between those releases.
I would rebuild it from scratch if you use it alot.
