Undoing font outlines after exiting?

How can i convert back to no font outlines after i have exited from illustrator? It doesnt give em an undo option. thanks

Once you save you're dead. You've turned the text into graphics. Best to Save As and outline the fonts then.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4
