unauthorized use of my site in iframe

a website is using my website content in an iframe, is there anyway to prevent them from using it or at least break it out of the iframe?

thanks, i was googling 'prevent iframe' and all kinds of variations on that with no real solution, so came back here. tek-tips always ocmes through thanks to people like you (an sometimes even myself).

Out of curiosity, how did you determine that your site was getting iframed? I'd like to know if mine is.

A competing website iframe'd 2 discussion threads of our's into their site. We check their website frequently as they do our's I'm sure.

You can check the logs to see what IP addresses access the page the most. If one or two IPs recur many times, then you can type those IPs into the URL of a browser and see what comes up.

If it's dynamic content like a discussion thread you probably can't do this, but...

Can you move the page they're framing to a different URL? Then write a new page with the URL that they're using that makes disparaging comments about your competitor and/or recommends your company. Play them at their own game - if they want to take your content and pretend it's theirs, write a page that you'd like to include on their site. It might discourage them from doing it again.
