I have an Option 81C Release 23 and I am trying to transfer calls offnet. I am able to perform a cold transfer but the warm transfer does not go through. The customer is making a call out of the system and then calling another location. They are trying to tranfer the customer to another location without having to stay connected. They are using T1 circuits to dial out on. I have already checked the TNB of the channels to make sure that SUPN is turned on. Does anyone have any ideas?

have u tested using conf and then dropping out of the call?

THIS IS DONE IN THE CLS OF THE PHONE

(FTTC) Flexible Trunk to Trunk Connections Conditional
allows trunk to trunk connections for supervised
Conference.
THIS IS THE DEFAULT
----------------------------------------------------
FTTR Flexible Trunk to Trunk Connections Restricted
denies trunk to trunk connections for Transfer and
unsupervised Conference.
----------------------------------------------------
FTTU Flexible Trunk to Trunk Connections Unrestricted
allows trunk to trunk connections for both
Conference and Transfer.

THIS IS THE ONE YOU WAN

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

I am unable to insert FTTU, FTTC, or FTTR in the CLS of the station. I get SCH0341
Unable to match input field with stored mnemonics. This is realease 23 software.

Also when they try to use the conference, they are unable to drop off the call.

FTTC was not available in Rls 23. The problem is that you are placing one call (probably over a COT) and then dialing another call - probably over the same route, and then trying to keep them together.

Simply put, that call type just won't work if the route type is COT and the same route is used to origonate each of the calls.

However, it is worth toggling the NEDC and FEDC of the Route Data Blocks in the call - setting both to "ETH" if they are not already.

Both of the calls are routing out of T1 circuits. They are in the same route however. The NEDC and FEDC are already set to "ETH" for that route.

But are the trunks classified as "COT" type. ... if you call them WAT, your call will work. It's an odd limitation, I know.

What you could do is create a WAT route, then move two or four trunks from this route into it, then place test calls using the new route's ACCD in place of your normal "9". If it works, that will prove something.

According to the NTP's It was introduced in Rls 23.

Can you post the info as you typed it on the terminal

Ace, you may be right - but my guess is it was a later version of 23 if the poster is getting the error he reported.

With FTOP, each station TN will have one of FTTC, FTTU or FTTR. If none of those exist, it is not in the software release

I have some detail on FTOP here:

My site suggests it for Mail ports, but it has application for any TN. By default, FTOP is not even active so the station CLS entries do nothing at all, regardless of thier value.

Thats why I wanted to SEE what he is typing, not what he says he's typing.

Also a TNB of the set might help.

I have had many people say I did this and I did that, but when you get the printout you find out the truth.

Like Tom Cruise say's (Show me the Money)

On the older Rls systems you have to use CAPS.

The NTP I looked at was on your Site Gene: cs1000 Rls 5.0 and I also looked at Rls 25.40B and they both list it in Rls 23. See I told you Nortel Lies. Where have all the goods tech's gone.

This sounds like a supervision problem. I have checked the channels and SUPN is set to yes. Is there anywhere else to look that I might be missing?
