My company runs a single W2K domain and Exchange 2000 environment. On the client side we run a mix of Win 2K and Win XP Professional clients running Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2002, respectively.

My Outlook 2000 clients are receiving errors when their outlook clients try to update free/busy data (not Internet free/busy data just the exchange server free/busy data).

In looking at the Schedule+ folder from the Exchange system manager, the default permission is set to Editor.

Yet this nuisance error keeps popping up with only an OK option.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Have you removed any Exchange servers from your domain? Namely the first one? Removing a primary Exchange server can cause this error, but it is correctable fairly easily. I don't have the documents handy, but they are easily accessible on Microsoft's web site.

No. I haven't removed any Exchange servers. This has been my only exchange server since version 5.5 later upgraded to Exchange 2000.

Any other ideas?

I had the same issue a while back, forgot what caused it but it turned out to be the recipient update service, or lack thereof. in ESM under recipients, make sure you have this setup correctly. 01110000

There is a utility called "updatefb.exe" which might help. Check out MS KB Article #294282 for more info.
