Unable to unlock client live update option SAV8.0 1

I've just installed (deployed) Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition version 8.0 on win2k server (domain controller also) followed by the administrator tools and finally the live update administrator.

I then installed the client on a win2k professional machine in the same domain. My problem is that the "live update" button is greyed out on the client and I have the little lock indicator that says "The administrator has locked this option." I am unable to find the configuration on the server where I can change this!

Can anyone point me in the right direction to unlock this feature on my clients? Any help is appreciated.

What you need to do is go into the Symantec System Centre and either right click on the server group or one of the servers and go to "All Tasks", "Symantec Antivirus" then "Virus Defenition Manager" in this window you will find a line called "Do not allow client to manually launch LiveUpdate" uncheck this box and the client should then be allowed to run LiveUpdate.
