In Windows XP explorer, I right click on a selected a file, chose sharing, and under local files and security I want to choose make this file private but can't because it's grayed out. Can anyone please help me un-gray this? How is it done? I thank you in advance for your assistance.

If your harddrive is not formated in NTFS you won't be able to. To convert type "convert c: /FS:NTFS" at a dos prompt. Vince Grice
