I am unable to send or receive email in Outlook 2007. I have configured a new account, and the test email went to my server ok, but I am unable to get or receive email. I can create a new email message, but the send button is grey and therefore unavailable. Outlook works fine for other users on the same computer. Just as a test, I configured my email on a new user account and it works fine. (I don't want to use the new account as I am having windows installer issues there...that's a problem for another post!) I would appreciate any help with Outlook.

I would try recreating the users profile on the PC (reboot, login as admin and rename the user folder to user.old) then relog the user and setup Outlook again. If it still fails you can easily revert back to the original user profile by changing the name back.
If it still fails, have you tested the user account on a different PC? It's worth seeing if it's PC specific.
Let me know how you get on.

Well, it worked. I guess I can use another account, however I still have a problem I need help with. Every time a page loads, the windows installer pops up. I disappears in just a few seconds, but it is VERY annoying. Any ideas?

You can of course move across the users favourites, quick launch items, desktop items so it should feel a bit more like home :)

As for your windows installer issue have you checked what Add-ons are being used by IE? I would probably go through them and remove any that pertain to toolbars that aren't in use. (Tools, Options, Programs, Add-ons)

Hope this helps.
