Hi,

My company's email host recenty had a server migration . After the migration, my colleagues are not able to send out emails using the company's dns name. But was able sent out email with the the host dns name.

when i did a nslookup in my server which has the ad, it said that :

DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Can't find server name for address <ip address>: Timed out
*** Default servers are not available
Default Server: UnKnown
Address: <ip address>

i think i have some problem with the dns of my server.

I need help urgently!

Thanks!

I would contact the host company that hosts your DNS and ask them if they change any resourc records on the DNS. I actually read a similar article in Windows IT pro magazine, where users werent able to log into the domain or send out email. The reason was because the company hosting their DNS records, and MX records changed the DNS without letting them know.

Check it out.

the ISP host company didnt change any resource records.

Anything in the Event logs for DNS? That's usually pretty descriptive if there's a problem.
