We are running Widows XP Professional and Office 97 (don't laugh, the business can't spend the money to upgrade office).
Our issue is that if we try to record a new macro in Excel, we get an error stating "Unable to Record".
Any thoughts? We have given the local Users group Modify permissions to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office", "C:\Windows", and "C:\Program Files\Common Files" all to no avail. I suspect that maybe there is a registry key that the User group needs permission to, but it has eluded me thus far.
Any help would be appreciated.
