Unable to receive email via POP3 behind PIX

I just installed a PIX 506 in my house and everything works fine except that I cannot receive e-mail through my POP3 account. I'm sure I have overlooked something simple but I can't see what it is. Here is the config. TIA

If you want to have access to a resource behind your pix you need to add a static translation. But if you mean that your client behind the pix cant pop the mail from a mailserver outside its a different story.

Let me reword this. I am unable to sync up with my ISPs POP3 server to receive email.

Try this. When you ping the pop3 server by name it resolves to an address. Try to telnet to this via a command prompt via port 110.

Example c:\ telnet 32.32.32.32 110

Then see if you get a response from that server. It should send back some stuff that let's you know you hit pay dirt.

Your access lists as I see it are allowing the specific traffic in, you don't need that in your case. This would be (usually) if you had a pop3 server inside that you wanted to grant users access to. You would also need a static translation something like this to accompany the access-list 101:

I just realized that I caanot do a static mapping because I have no outside static IPs. I am able to get my email at work from behind the PIX there and I don't see any real difference between the two configs as I copied my home PIX config from the PIX at my work.

A show in should what outside ip you have. But like network says, can you even resolve the pop3 servers dns name? Sounds like you have a name resolution issue.
