Something strange has occured since I updated my servers with Microsoft newest patch.

The following error has appeared in the event viewer of my 2000 file server

Unable to query the W3SVC (HTTP) service performance data. The error code returned by the service is data DWORD 0.
For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at:

http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.

I have tried Microsoft but the site is no longer operating

I alos believe it is tied to the following error reported in the event viewer

The configuration information of the performance library "C:\WINNT\system32\w3ctrs.dll" for the "W3SVC" service does not match the trusted performance library information stored in the registry. The functions in this library will not be treated as trusted.

Can anyone help?

nope

never did but the my exchange just crashed recently and I had to do a reinstall

maybe it will go away after that
