What would be the possible reasons that I am no longer able to overlay passthru to the PBX in OTM. I've always been able to until today. I get a session failed response now.

What have you done prior to this problem? What release on system and OTM...??? More info needed...

Do the passwords on OTM and the switch match?

PBX release 4.0 and yes I am using the correct id and password. I am able to dial into the switch using a modem.

In LD117 type: stat shells insecure

What do you get?

I typed stat shells insecure in LD 117 and got "sch0099 shells?

OK.

I thought that command might only be from rls 4.5 and you got that confirmed for me now. Thanks.

Do you use serial or ethernet connection??? If it is serial, try to connect to the switch on that TTY port, it could be disabled.

If it's Ethernet, check the ip adress of ELNK defined in the properties of that site. Check if you can ping that adress from the otm.

If you're not using pwd1 or pwd2 password/username to connect. Check if MAT = yes on that user in LD17.

I'm using ethernet connection, I've pinged the address from the OTM server and get reply's back. I'm using admin2 and the appropriate password to connect.

Try connecting using admin1. I know it sounds strange but I sometimes has to use that to connect. I've never found out why though.

I get the same response with Admin1. I've also tried rebooting the OTM server. I had a similar problem a few months back connecting to my other 61c at a different location, and it suddenly started working after I ran patches on this one (weird). We also had a power clich last weekend, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not, but I do have battery backup on this 61c.

type who in commad line should give you clue
if you have sevral instances of a ip address on pty
then u will need to install a patch and reload the switch.

It look's like your already login on IP, I would do an INI, it takes about 30 sec.

To unlock that situation you must INIT the PBX.
Then install patch MPLR20109 on Call server

you also need to reload the switch after installation of this pep....it has specail loading instructions.....

good luck.

thanks for all your help guys, have a great new years!
