unable to open links in outlook or other programs

Getting links in outlink to zdnet and other sites and when click on them get locate link brower and the type appears to be an exe. Did a spybot, adaware, avgantivirus, cws shredder and none seem to find the problem. Can unable help.

Tried all the steps in the link and none of them worked.

I am using IE7. When I click on files in outlook it opens a window called Locate Link Browser and opens the my doc folder. When I am on the internet I have no trouble with the links. I notice that my msjava.dll is not installed> I do have java runtime environment 6.

Thats what it was hyperlink URL was not pointing correctly. It had been working and when it suddenly stopped thought it was a trojan. I did not know what to look for in the view file type area.
