I was running an update query and the database file closed for some reason. When I try opening it. I got the error message "The file was closed and the database isn't valid,
do you want MS Access to correct the error?" I selected yes, this time I got the error message:
"Operation invalid with out a current index"

Have no idea what is going on. If you have suggestions please write me back.

Thanks,

Bizu

Hi

Sounds like your database is corrupted, you do have a back up don't you?

To attempt to recover the corrupted databse, try running repair (or Compac/Repair if you are using Access2000 or AccessXP), its under the tools menu item

If this does not work, try createing a new blank mdb, and import all of the objects from you 'corrupted' mdb into the new blank one. Regards

Website needs upgrading, but for now - UK

Looks like you may have some corruption going on here. Check out the JetComp.exe utility on Microsoft's website.

I had the same error - check your service pack. Upgrade to SP3 from office.microsoft.com and you will be able to get back into the database.
