Hi all. I have set up our Definity with a vdn in our DDI range that goes to a vector that allows a "press 1 for tech support, press 2 for sales" response. The vector points to ext numbers with cov paths with a cov ans group as the first point and a voicemail extension (non-DDI) as the second point where people should be transfereed to if there's no reply. This fails and the extensions in the cov ans groups just continue to ring without ever forwarding to voice-mail. I have tried to create a cov path with the only point as the voicemail extension, but this fails with an engaged tone. If I put in a standard DDI as the first point in the cov path, that rings, but if I put it in as the second point after a cov ans grp, the cov ans group phones ring and never bounce to voice-mail.

Any ideas, greatly appreciated!

Set the conditions of the cover path to go to cover for all conditions, and try that.

In the vector where you say route to number XXX make sure with cov is set to Y.

Tried that and now if I put the voice-mail extension as the first point in the cov path, it diverts, but if it's the second point after the cov ans grp, the call still never gets there.

The vector is set up as suggested, though.

All very frustrating as I'm so nearly there!

In the second point of cover are you putting the voice mail hunt group number or the the X port/virtual station no DDI number?

Okay, sorted it. Had to change the cov path voicemail point back to h10 (our Audix hunt-group), then changed the auto-attend-routing routing-table in Audix so that my extensions pointedf to a different mailbox as their default mailbox.

Works fine!)

Thanks for the help.
