I'm am using Access 2000 to attempt to connect to the tables in a database stored on our 6.5 SQL Server. I have checked the version of the ODBC driver and it is up to date.
At this point I have not checked the service pack level on the server, but I did not think the service pack would have an affect on the ODBC connectivity.
The errors the I get back when I attempt to set up the DNS are as follows:
Connection failed:
SQLState: '01000'
SQLServer Error: 10061
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]ConnectionOpen connect(())
Connection failed:
SQLState: '08001'
SQLServer Error: 11
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]General Network Error. Check your network documentation.
Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Steve R.
