Hi all! I'm using Quark 6 on my Mac. I have been exporting to PDFs with no problems for months. Last weekend, I upgraded from OS 10.2 to OS 10.3. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not... but ever since then, I have not been able to make pdfs. When go to File, then Export, then "Layout as pdf", I get the following message: "Unable to create the "name.pdf" file. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have had this same problem ever since I upgraded to os 10.3 as well. The only thing I could find to do is export to post script file instead of directly to pdf. basicaly go to quarkexpress>preferences>pdf and click on create postscript file for later distilling. Then file>export> layout as pdf, then just open it using preview.

Hope this helps.

I actually was able to solve the problem. I posted the same question on the Quark forums board. Go to Mac OS X Print Center, select the correct printer and click on the top left button named 'Use as standard' . That solved my problem. I can export to pdfs now.
