Unable to add session to database (EC=-5007)

Hi,
I have searched all over the forum but no-one seems to have completely answered this.
I had to re-install Arcserve 11 but now when I run the backup jobs I am getting:

Unable to add session to database (EC=-5007)

This also means that I am unable to restore anything. Apart from this, it seems to be running fine. Any help would be much appreciated.

first off you can restore, just not with the database. Restore by backup media will work and use a filter for a selective restore.

I found the manuals for the database on the web one time and so I'll look up that error and let you know.

Thanks very much David. The error is very disconcerting and annoying, especially as everything else seems to be running well. Any help would be much appreciated.

RPC error.
The application has passed an invalid session identifier to the RPC layer. This problem is typically caused by an invalid session handle passed to a function that generates an RPC call. Check the session handle parameter.

For what it is worth that is what the velocis manual says.

My best guess is an install problem. Start by installing the latest servic pack for your version.
