I am having trouble when adding second node after the first node is up and running. when I bring the second node up, the drives I need on the SAN show up as unreadable. As a result, adding the second node fails because it cannot see the shared quorum drive nor the shared data drive. Am I missing something here??

You'll want to ask in the forum for you SAN.

What kind of pathing software are you using ? Are you using secure path or MPIO. One way around it is when adding the second node select advanced then select the "Advanced (minimal) configuration. This bypasses all disk resources and adds the second node. If its active passive all resources will be there since the first node brought them in. If its active/active you will just have to create the resources yourself. Hope this helps.

I am also having trouble when adding second node after the first node is up and running. But mine is different; It is about the connection to the second node. I tried to select advanced then select the "Advanced (minimal) configuration, but the problem still occur.
Here are the error I see during the "Add node Wizard":
x Establishing node connection(s)
x win2003-node-2: connecting to server ...
x Error: 0x80070005: Access is denied.

In the CLCfgSrv.log, I see the following errors:

2006-08-11 10:55:20.466 [ERR ] win2003-node-1: [TaskCancelCleanup] Could not get the managed resource enumerator for node win2003-node-2.phiet-cluster.com. (hr=0x80070490, {05AA0768-5F49-49CD-AFDC-96F9D51802D4}, {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}, 1, 1, 1), (null)

Anyone has any idea ?
Thank you in advanced !

Looks like you don't have admin rights to both nodes. Or the second node couldn't verify that you have admin rights to it.

Thank you Denny for the hint. But I login both nodes with Administrator's right and also added the cluster service's user to Administrator's group in the domain controller. I still not able to resolve this issue yet.
appreciate for any helps !

Hi guys,
Now I was able to add the second node to the cluster server by running the cluster admin and connect to the cluster server from the domain controller machine, then add the second node from there.

Hope this helps !
