We have a computer connected to network drives on a domain. This computer also has a modem for remote dial up to a customer server.

The problem is once the user dials into the customer server, she is unable to access anything on our local network drives/directories.

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks!

Are you using some kind of secure Global dialer like the AT&T Global dialer? These are usually designed to prevent access to the local network once you are connected to the other secure network.

Thanks guys!

I actually uncheck the "Use default gateway on remote network" box and was able to access the local network drives.

Yes, that is what usually works. But it is very dependent on what is demanded of the connection on the far end.

You have a Hobson's choice with the 'default gateway' selection between your native LAN gateway and the gateway of the RAS connection.

And in most cases this is fine. Otherwise, ROUTE ADD to include some granularity of gateways used, and especially manually determine gateway metrics.
