Hi all

Been given a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop in good working order excepting for the 7/& key is missing.

As there are many more US keyboards available than UK, I wondered what happens when you replace a UK keyboard with a US keyboard and don't change the locale?

IOW, are there any gotchas?

TIA

Aside:
Any wiki editors here?

The big "Enter" key on the UK keyboard is a "Carriage Return" key and (very rarely) can be used differently than the "Enter" key, found on the numeric pad.

Picky, but correct.
