UCD-MIA hunt group member assignment question 2

I have Definity G3 V12 PBX. My hunt groups are assigned as non-ACD UCD-MIA types. Hunt groups have 20 members. Does the order that I enter the extensions in the hunt group member assignment list have any impact on how often the busied-in extensions receive hunt group calls or does the UCD-MIA distribution method always send the hunt group calls to the most idle busied in member?

Can I also add a question to this thread,
can a UCD-MIA (longest waiting) hunt group trip to the next member available if its not answered after say 5 rings or does it just stay with the ringing station.

crossconnect:

it doesn't matter the order in which the extensions are entered, the sytem will distribute the calls to the 'most idle' in the group

ip monkey:

the call wont jump to the next member but you can add a cover path to the group.
it's probably best to have this to cover if there are unmaned stations in the group.

another option is to educate users to removed themselves from the group if they are not available.
feature - 'hunt group busy activatine / deactivation
this can be put on a button

hope this helps

Thanks ccltd, the users have the ability to hunt group busy activate & de-activate and othere stations have the ability to pickup calls but sometimes Users and Education don't go together.
I need to configure a cover path on the hunt group, Am I correct in presuming that the cover path can route back to the same hunt group and the call will ring at a different available user?

yes it will ring at a different station, as the last station it just left will go to the back of the hunt queue

Direct Department Calling- (DDC) the first agent administered in the hunt group. If the first agent is busy, it goes to the second agent, and so forth. This "hot seat" method puts a heavy call load on the first few agents. no extra software (you cannot use this method if you have EAS enabled)
Circular (circ) the next available agent in a chain no extra software
Uniform Call Distribution- Most Idle Agent (UCD-MIA) the available agent who has been idle the longest since their last call. no extra software
Uniform Call Distribution- Least Occupied Agent (UCD-LOA) the available agent with the lowest percentage of work time since login. ACD, EAS, and CentreVu Advocate
Expert Agent Distribution- Most Idle Agent (EAD-MIA) the available agent with the highest skill level who has been idle the longest since their last call. EAS
Expert Agent Distribution- Least Occupied Agent (EAD-LOA) the available agent with the highest skill level and the lowest percentage of work time since login. EAS and CentreVu Advocate

Thanks CCLTD for your quick response. You confirmed my understanding of the ucd-mia hunt groups, but it helped to have some reenforcement of what I was thinking. Thanks. This helps.
