I've read that the TZ180 keeps wireless users separate from wired users. Can someone verify this for me? This seems like an odd thing to do, so I'm kinda skeptical.

If you want traffic to flow from one zone to another, you need rules to allow it to do so. It's not odd, it's the basic job of a firewall.

Sonicwall Wireless subnets it WLAN zone from the LAN zone. To allow traffic you have to allow the WLAN access to the LAN. Another thing you may want to to is to use the IPHelper functionality to allow netbios traffic. Netbios traffic doesn't travel over different subnets without help.

I have moved away from using Sonicwall built in wireless for seperate APs. If I want to subnet the wireless you can still use a VLAN to do it or you can keep the wireless on the same Subnet as the LAN. I've sort of gotten tired of dealing with the issues of Sonicwall wireless. But it is more of a personal preference.
