Does this box perform QoS? Someone stated it did, but through my research I can't seem to find that it does.

The Enhanced OS does, the Standard does not, for anyone that stumbles across this.

Hi E1, Welcome to our forum you are able to find help here on any SonicWALL issue. If I can't directly help you then I will have my engineer buddies at SonicWALL take a look at it.

Yes you are right Enhanced OS does QOS at a very advanced level for any complex QOS designs (VOIP, Cameras, Video Streaming, etc.). However, the Standard does QOS also in a simplier form.

I am setting up a VPN tomorrow with a Pro2040 to a TZ170 w/ enhanced.

how do i configure QoS? In the menu it just shows the numebrs and how it corresponds to the priortization. I'll be doing VOIP - so i web'd into the phone and checked the QoS box, as well as checked the enable 802.1q on the Tz170 and Pro2040's wan ports. Is that it?

Is there any way to monitor the status of Qos?
The phones we have don't use SIP - they have a propriotary protocal - so I'm guessing thsi is why no info shows up in the call status screen when i'm making a VOIP call.

Thanks!
- Andy
