I have a user who was inadvertantly deleted from AD, but his mailbox on Exchange still exists under System Manager...mailboxes. However when I recreated his account using the same username it failed to connect itself to his existing mailbox, but instaead created a new one. My question is how can I retrieve the messages from his old mailbox (they both have the same name, but his old mailbox is showing up with a red X when I view it in System manager. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You use the SM to reconnect a mailbox, under the mailbox store for your server group. Run the cleanup agent first, then find the deleted mailbox, right click on it and you'll have the reconnect option.

You'll need to first delete the new mailbox from the user, then reconnect the old one back to their new account.
