is it possible to define two record sets on one event
For instance, I have:
Set rs = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset...
And need another to do another operation on. *************

Absolutely. You can have rs2,rs3...rsn. Just use the same process you describe in your post.
You can even open the same table/query with each one if you want.
