Morning!

We are currently starting to have the problem where by some users are needing to have more than one email account within Exchange 2000.

So for example email for companya and companyb all come to the exchange server and get delivered to the end user. Thats fine and works OK - BUT - because Exchange 2000 forces you to have a default reply email address then we are having trouble with replies to email. If an email comes in to companya - we want the reply to that message to look like it came from companya - and the same with companyb. At the moment this is not possible because Exchnge makes you choose one or the other to reply from by default.

I know i could set up two different user accounts - one for each email account and make him log in and out to swap between the different companies - but I thought there must be a better way to do this.

Has anyone else had this problem - and over come it?

Thanks in advance
Arran

One way is to setup the two user accounts and then setup a different profile for each company in outlook. They would just have to log out of outlook and back in to get the other email. That way they hopefully wont get them confused and send from the wrong place.

I have multiple exchange mailbox accounts, although they are all for the same company. When I reply, I have a FROM field and I choose the account I want shown as the sender of the message. The from field is not displayed in Outlook by default, but is available under the view menu. Maybe that will help you?

Brilliant - thank you both for your help :)

I totally forgot about the FROM field - (doh) - so at least I have a couple of ways around the problem now.

Thanks :)
