I have some code that opens up several worksheets.
I would like to open them all in read-only, as it promtps me for every file.
some are password protected, and some may be open by other users.
how can I acheive this?

Quick guess is

Application.DisplayAlerts False

... code ...

Application.DisplayAlerts True

Have a look at the 3rd parameter of the Workbooks.Open method.

Hope This Helps, PH.
