Turning Internal twinning on or off?

Is there a way to turn internal twinning on or off via the set. Not via Manager.
IP500 - 4.2.17 - 5410

Currently have warehouse sales extensions internal twinned to a dect, when off-site they need to be able to log in to vmail via a trusted cell number which works only if twinning is off. So I'm looking for an off button they can hit like external twinning has.
 
well i for 1 had to reread what you wrote about 10 times and im still trying to understand what you are trying to do and why, but i'll have a guess...

you want to dial into voicemail pro - be validated by cli, passed to a menu or just straight to a short code which deactivates twinning on a user?
 
No, I don't think you can. You could simply put them into a huntgroup and then they can check the huntgroups voicemail instead ::)

I'm not sure why the VM wouldn't work just because it's twinned though :)

How is the twinning setup?

Is het hardphone the twinned extension or is the dect the twinned extension?

The best setup is to give the 5410 the internal number and twin the dect with the 5410 not the other way around.

What version is there on the VMPro server?

There was a problem with twinning and VMPro 4.1.20, you need to have the same version as the IPO so for VMPro 4.2.30

Taker - Sorry had to read yours a few too :) Here's the basic.

Main warehouse phone 5410 say extn 101
1. From off-site extn 101 calls a DID to log into their mailbox (ICR Destination = voicemail) directly via a trusted number (V999-1234). (ICR > DID + Trusted number = VMail knows who you are and it logs automatically into your box)

2. If you internal twin any phone to 5410 extn101 (Main desk phone), this no longer works. Your still calling the same phone and DID but now it has forgotten you like yesterdays breakfast.

-Makes no sence that one would have anything to do with the other but the only way I can figure to get around it is to have come up with a way the user can manually turn it on or off manually. (Not though Manager every time they go off-site ..Or loose one or the other feature.

amriddle01 - I think you get it.

I'm not really looking for troubleshooting, I know that it does not work. I am looking for a way to make it look like it does work and is just not broken. Many creative minds are better then one.
