Turning Computer off at a set time? 1

Hi,

I run Windows XP. Is there a way of timing the computer to shut down at a certain time (say 9PM) when I am away from the computer. I use my computer to monitor data and want the computer to automatically turn off when it is done.

I am thinking it could be a scheduled event but cannot see how to put in the shut down command.

The mechanism for the scheduled task is different. You want to use Schtasks or at from the command-line. Documentation on shutdown will be useful too.
