Hi All,

I don’t know how it’s happened but our callers are getting the inclement weather greeting when they call in instead of the regular daytime greeting. Is it possible we could have done this with a short code on a telephone? Could someone give me an idea of how to turn this on and off? I'd like to get back to normal.

As always, thanks in advance
.

how would you normally activate/deactivate it?

Tom, I have no idea. I have never used it and the company that installed it are no more.

hehe ;)

It would appear that your cfg needs to be reviewed.

check you shortcodes. see if there is anything relevant in there.

Do you have access to Manager and VM Pro Client programmes?

try restarting voicemail...

unless it has been programmed extremely carefully, a service restart will initialise all conditions to their default - so there is a good chance that a restart will solve your immediate problem and allow you some breathibg space to figure out what to do next time.

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Which leads me to my next point that if that doesn't work check to see if any groups are in "Night service" or "Out of service" as it could also be done that way :-)

Hi Guys,

Thank you all for the advice.

A few weeks ago I asked for advice because the employees kept dialing 911 instead of 9 + 1 + number. We changed the 9 to an 8 as to try and avoid this.

Now I've just found out that we have a short code (*81) for inclement weather. So, someone has obviously dialed the * by mistake followed by a 8 + 1.

Even the best of intentions kick you right in the nuts sometimes...

I appreciate all of the responses. Many thanks.

Sometimes you just can't win :-)
