In setting up terminal services on a 2003 server, I had spent a lot of time investigating the printing requirements, with redirected printing for remote users etc.
However, it occured to me that with a permanent DSL connection and VPN routers at each end, I don't need to worry about redirecting printers. I have simply used Add New Printer to install the printer at the remote site (which with VPN is just another printer on the network) and print to it during a TS session.
It appears to work OK, but is there any reason why this might not be an acceptable way of doing things?
